I’m gonna be a youtube jerk here; Mathematically, sensor size makes a parabola with megapixels. (an approximation) 15mm X 17mm sensor is ideal for 10mp. When you put 14mp on the same sensor there will not be enough light to hit all the pixels and you will get grain pictures. Don’t be fooled by megapixels.

I guess you would be better of with a Alpha 200 it has a great image qualitiy, well the kit objectiv isn’t great but you could look for some good used konica minolta af objectivs (note it will give you 1.5times the zoom factor because the camera hasn’t a full format sensor)

i brought a A300 …
i brought a A300 for my gf for her birthday lastweek. i had a good play with and loving it. i didnt want to give it to her. so its either the camera or my gf. gf won! so yesterday i went out and got one better the A350. i cant wait to get i, its still in shipping. the camera is not bad for the price you for. You get what you pay for right? but value for you money

I went out there and bought that bad boy myself.
And I freakin’ LOVE it.
I’m agreeing that the lens is bare bones and can barely zoom in to my finger if I point in front of it but it should be cool when i come up with dough for a better camera.
i’m a newbie to photography but i’m catching on fast fast fast. Also, the ISO above 400 -i’ll have a look.
if i could take my butt back to france, that would be some REAL shutterbug action!

I´ve got the a350,you dont hear it.what you hear is the clicking of the switch and not the mirrow.
its a nice cam,but i dont like the ISO above 400.
the kit´s lenses aren´t good.
i`ll buy the eos 5D Mk2 this year
