For centuries the coco leaf was a blessing from the Gods. It alleviated the hunger of the Bolivian poor. Today it is a source of narcotic evil for the West.

Bolivia’s government, reliant on US aid and vulnerable to US dictates, has been forced to uphold a war against coco producers. The ‘Leopards’ - anti-narcotic paramilitaries - patrol the tropical jungles of Chapere and destroy small cocaine factories. Local farmers, like Berto, are put under pressure to rip up their coco plants and rePlace them with alternative crops. But now Berto can’t sell his new produce and is more impoverished than ever. Human rights organisations report violent abuses committed by the ‘Leopards’ against men and women. US Ambassador coolly contests such reports and admits that Bolivia would be ‘hurt’ if it objected to US initiatives. Evo Morales leads the Chapere people in a protest rally. In their muddy villages, the tired faces don’t understand why their government is trying to destroy their livelihood.

The fourth day of Space Shuttle Atlantis’s mission to the Hubble Space Telescope
will bring the sunset of Hubble’s longest serving, most prolific instrument
NASA’s Wide Field and Planetary Camera 2 (WFPC2). The camera, the workhorse of
Hubble imaging for over 15 years, will return to Earth aboard Atlantis this month.
The camera saved the day for Hubble after the observatory’s original camera had a
“vision problem.” On May 4, WFPC2 imaged nebula K4-55. The camera’s final pretty picture shows
a planetary nebula, with the outer layers of a star expelled when the star died.

Here it is guys, My wifes birthday gift to me (I love this chick) So far the browsers ok, not fast, but bearable. I can’t watch YouTube ViDs on it but can comment in the channel pages. Gmail works great. The WEP2 security I have set up in the house did sync up and works great. The camera works OK, I have to try it out out side in the day light but does an OK job indoors. I’ll make a second part to this vid so you guys can see.
