Classic Game Room HD reviews DEVIL SURVIVOR for Nintendo DS from Atlus, part of the Shin Megami Tensei series of video games. Do you like turn based strategy games and Japanese style RPG adventure gaming? Well, then run to your nearest ordering location and sweep up Devil Survivor before your life clock hits 0 and you lose the next battle. This CGRHD review of Devil Survivor has gameplay footage from Devil Survivor from Nintendo DS in HD showing game play in this turn based strategy video game. Summon demons and have them fight by your side, this game brings some of the wildest and most creative enemies (and friendly demons) to your DS or Nintendo DSi (or DSiX…. watch the review for that one.) If you enjoyed Devil Summoner 2 for PS2 then you’ll probably dig this one as well. Fans of the Front Mission series and Final Fantasy Tactics may also enjoy the strategic gameplay which requires planning and thought… and LOTS of time! Win demons at auction prices, fuse them with other demons to make demon tails and kick as Tokyo is under lock down and you’re just trying to SURVIVE!!

Classic Game Room HD reviews STEAMBOT CHRONICLES BATTLE TOURNAMENT for Sony PSP from Irem, published by Atlus. Take command of a Trotmobile and play an adventure game mixed with a battle tournament fighting game where mechs face off in the arena! Steambot Chronicles has some cool concepts and good fighting controls as well as multiplayer mayhem, it lacks a bit of the polish found in many titles but works quite well and has high replay value. You can play with up to four players from one UMD disc, Sony PSP game cartridge thingy. Build, modify and customize your battle robots in Steambot Chronicles, arm them with flamethrowers and guns, swords and saws. Earn money and experience, fight your way through tournaments and get animated chicks to like you. It has RPG elements and you can choose what things you say at times, although I have the feeling the outcome is usually the same. The end result is you bashing other robots into a heap of smoldering metal. Classic Game Room HD reviews STEAL PRINCESS for the Nintendo DS from Atlus, not to be confused with Steel Princess or Remington Steele Princess or Steeel Princess which would be right out because no word has 3 e’s in a row, not even Eek. This CGRHD review of Steal Princess for Nintendo DS has gameplay footage from Steal Princess, solid as steel if the princess was Steel Prinecss made from Steel. CGR shows game play as Steal Princess fights her way through 150 different puzzle style levels. Fight bad guys, end bosses and solve puzzles in this cute, Japanese anime style game with people with purple hair and HUGE eyes. Atlus frequently brings well made, cool games over here (to US of A) and while Steal Princess isn’t my favorite game it delivers puzzle action and time solving awards, a map making mode and the ability to share maps over wi-fi to another Nintendo DS. Pretty neat. Steal Princess is on Nintendo DS and steal’s gems and stuff from bad guys to pay back a debt before she is encased in steel and sunk into the ocean. Classic Game Room HD reviews THE DARK SPIRE for the Nintendo DS. This handheld RPG for the Nintendo DS harks back to the days of monochromatic computer monitors, old school 286 computers and clicky keyboards. The Dark Spire is one of the best new games to come out for Nintendo DS, developed by Success and published by Atlus. This CGRHD review of The Dark Spire has gameplay footage from The Dark Spire on Nintendo DS being played in High Definition. Watch game play of this old school style role playing game where you create characters with stats that you get by random number generation. Name your characters, create a party and equip them with swords, axes and bows and arrows. Learn magic, take potions and don’t forget the antidote. It’s awesome retro RPG style with Dark Spire where you dungeon crawl and fight trolls, scoundrels and giant mushrooms. I love this game. Even the cool 80’s style isn’t old enough for you it also has a late 70’s vector graphics style which really forces you to use your imagination. For those tired of anime-style RPG video games or overly elaborate and complicated MMOs, check out this simple, lengthy, instant classic for Nintendo DS. The Dark Spire packs hours and weeks of gameplay with humorous writing, awesome enemies and years of time consuming character upgrading, spell learning and dungeon mastering. The Dark Spire is a winner for new and retro gamers alike. It comes with outstanding music and even an audio CD to play in your car when dungeon crawling in your car. The latest Megaten game is a tactical JRPG for the DS called “Megami Ibunroku: Devil Survivor”. I hear an English version is forthcoming, and with all the mainstream attention surrounding “Persona 3″ & 4 as well as the recent success of quirky DS RPGs such as “The World Ends With You” it’s not exactly surprising that Atlus has decided to release MIDS outside Japan as well.
