there are only 2 ''things'' in PSP can be read by your computer:
1st. Memory Stick
2nd. UMD iso file ( with custom firmware )

and if u want to transfer data to your PSP then just put it into the memory stick ( the only way )
References :
Not sure I understand you, but here goes:

Keep the memory stick in the PSP at all times. There's almost no reason to ever remove it. When you connect the PSP to the computer, you need to select "USB connection" on the PSP, then windows will see the PSP as a removeable storage device.

You'll want to "open window to view files" and from there, can drag and drop files from the PSP to the computer, and vice-versa, just like a USB pen drive.

Be sure you know what you're doing - certain things should only go in certain places, in order to be recognized by the PSP during normal use. If you don't know what it does, best leave it there.

Don't interrupt the PSP or break the USB connection while data is being transferred in either direction.
References :
well, simply put, u need a memory stick
it wont even connect to the computer without 1.
the psp has little memory of its own, but it does have memory, just not "usable" by you.

solution: use a memory stick when connecting to computer
