well, i dunno if they can fix it..but what i know is that u can install the newest cfw 5.50 gen-D even if u already have it...if not, then its possibly gonna be a hardware problem so u can also download yoshihiro's cfw 5.50 gen-D from http://www.pspisoz.com . when u open the updater from ur psp, there will be an (enter) and (exit) choices press enter and press (install any ofw) or (install 5.50 ofw). After that, backup ur psp games on ur PC then delete them from ur psp(or just simply remove the mem.stick)..now ur done go fix it at sony..they can't say a thing cuz u already have an ofw...hope i helped
P.S. i told u about that updater cuz i dunno any other way to transfer from cfw to ofw :$..there is the system update thingy but i won't reccomend it cuz it would be hard to switch back to cfw after that.
References :
They will, but they gonna restore you custom firmware to original and update it, so you have to buy those crappy expansive games.
last time I send it there, when I got it back I take a look at it "OH SH*T" wtf just happened to my custom firmware...
References :
no they won't fix it.
as mentioned in a psp thread i read they said they have no tolerance for "piracy".
(according to them not my words)
why don't you just remove it and then install it again once you get it back?
-_-
