   They actually did make a direct sequel to the original Shining Force, But I’m not sure on what system.
   And Mawlock exists out of time and space so he probably has WAY to much back story to go into. Zuika is a form of beastman like Zolo and the birdpeople were. So maybe in that area of the world the beastpeople were frowned upon and thus shunned. Oh and the fact that Zuikas class is ASIN and then he becomes a TERMINATOR might have something to do with it also.

   If you listen to ALL of Zuikas character dialogue, he clearly has some kind of unrevealed backstory (the stuff about him being hated and sealed away). The same applies with Mawlock, if you hear all of his converstaion in HQ.
   I know Adam, Alef and Torasu are good, but have no point to them considering that by the time you have them, you’ll already have a team probably double their level.
   Magic was seriously dulled down in the GBA remake, so Alef isn’t as good as she was in the original, either.

   Zuika and Mawlock …
   Zuika and Mawlock had no real character development, because they were added into the original game (and badly, at that). Also, Adam, Alef, and Torasu were three of the best characters in the game if you took the time to level them properly. Asam was just a plain destructive force, torasu is the only healer in the game who learns Aura 4, and Alef is the only character in the game who learns Bolt 4.

   I was personally hoping for an actual sequel to SF:ROTDD. Too many of the characters had an underveloped story with great potential (e.g, Zuika, Mawlock). It would be nice to get another chance to use some of the characters whom weren’t very useful in it, such as Adam, Alef or Torasu.
   Also, this game looks like it’s seriously ripping off NamcoXCapcom.

    Hm… I’m slightly sceptical. I’d rather have the first 2 on the DS I think, seeing as how Sega has had a poor track record for a good while now. Don’t get me wrong, Sega is up there as my favorite gaming company, but the future does not bode well.
