Nintendo DS VOIP (using svsip)

You will need a Slot1 card of some kind to run the homebrew and will need to get an sip account (stop asking where to get one in the comments) and configure the applications config to run it. This is an example of the end product.

Instructions:

Basically, you get a card that goes into the top slot on the ds (also called a ‘Slot1 Card’) and run the program. I chose an ezflash v because a friend of mine recommended but really almost any Slot1 FlashCart would work (R4 is another popular one). Chances are, it will take in a MicroSD card. You download the DS version of the program from http://svsip.free.fr/ and patch them first (These cards require a different patching technique in order to read files from the sd card. It is called DLDI patching and there are many DLDI patchers. Just google it.). ANY PROBLEMS WHERE YOU SEE THE LOGO BUT NOTHING HAPPENS ARE DUE TO INCORRECT DLDI. Then read the readme of the SvSIP download and configure it with whatever sip account you get. Then just copy all the files to the root of the MicroSD card. Then you open the launcher (different depending on what Slot1 card you choose) and open the SvSIP program.

Duration : 0:1:1

I have a r4ds-111. and I can’t find a dldi patch for it. I only found one or the regular r4ds version, not r4ds-111, When I got to open the folder with the numpad and config TXT, it is corrupted and has weird symbols in the folder,(svsip older). SO I can’t really Find the correct DLDI patch for my r4ds-111, any help would be appreciative, ohh and ii wasn’t the guru meditation error, but thanks for your reply, Thnx, but no help

    I’m not entirely …
I’m not entirely sure but it sounds like you may be experiencing a “guru meditation error”. This can happen for a variety of reasons but is almost always caused by this program when it does not have access to the filesystem. Double check that you DLDI patched it correctly. Hope that helps.

I got it working but I can’t find an access point. I’ve played online and tried Zelda PH if it could find the Ap and it did. Problem is that Be Up or SVsip cannot do it. I’ve tried putting SSID and Keys manually but it just can’t find. Is it possible that the problem is in the router? :F

  17. djh816 Says:

    that means that it …
that means that it doesn’t have access to your file system. incorrect dldi patching can be the issue. if you don’t have an actual r4, don’t dldi patch it for r4. use whatever your card maker suggests for dldi patching.
