If you are looking to buy cheap, non-warranty player then go to Chinatown.
If you are looking for warranted product then go for orchard street.
When I went to Shopping in SG I found that the cost of Play Station was 250 S$ in China Town while the same in Orchard street was 350 S$ + Tax.

if you want no name, just any brand will do, china made, Sim Lim Square has got plenty………..
for brandname ones, i prefer to go to places like Harvey Norman…

I would say go to china town, they have some really good ideas on what mp3 players really are and price them pretty cheap too.
Also I don’t know if you know, but in america theres a place here in virginia where I can get a mp3 player for like 30 bucks.
But again, i’d say craigslist is a great source, i believe they have sales in craigslist too.
