I was trying to pair my Mac to a ATT Tilt via the internet sharing and pan network you described. I am certainly unsuccessful. It raises a question, does it have to be a intel based mac? I am still in the dark ages with a G4 ibook. Can i still get it to work and how?

Great info to start with but a litte outdated (WM 6.1 and OSX 10.5.5).

I did not get the PAN message on my mac.
-I had to set it up under ‘Network’ add new ‘Bluetooth Pan’.
-Then start the i-net sharing on my mobile
-And then i could connect via ‘Connect to network’

Using a variation on what you showed I was able to complete the setup of my Treo750 with a MacBook Pro running Leopard 10.5.4. I had struggled for a couple of hours trying to set this up before I did a search, found your “AWESOME” posting and finished it in a couple of keystrokes. You provided just the missing link I needed. Thanks!!!
