Lenovo ThinkPad X301 Laptop Computer

The Lenovo ThinkPad X301 Laptop Computer. It’s tough, thin, and light. In fact, at only 3.16 pounds, you won’t find a more impressive combination of power and portability. Style-wise, the Lenovo ThinkPad X301 is closer to the size of an actual paper notebook than a ThinkPad notebook has ever been. With its extremely thin (0.73″) design highlighted by a brilliant new 13.3-inch WXGA+ display with backlit LED panel, the ThinkPad X301 is the ultimate Lenovo laptop computer. And it offers numerous design flourishes including an integrated camera and digital microphone, a full-size ergonomic keyboard, ThinkLight®, Trackpoint®, UltraNav®, Integrated Fingerprint Reader, and stereo speakers.

I love thinkpads and this computer which im thinking of purchasing as a student next year. Im upgrading from a dell inspiron but my only concern is running a CAD program on the x301. Any advice on whether this is a sufficient computer to run that program or do i need something with more power?

he claims that it has a low demand for RAM, compared to what?! XP and OS10.? both use ~250 MB to operate, less than half of Vista. I bet microsoft paid him off to give a good word about ty Vista

  10. cptcolo Says:

    no it does not. …
no it does not. niether does the x200 and x200s. I heard that Lenovo has worked on fixing the T400 keyboard flex problem and that the new ones do not have the problem, but the x series never had this problem

hahaha he has no idea what he’s even talking about. Definitely changes my opinion of Tiger Direct. “Eat your heart out macbook Air, ain’t got one of those”. Simply pathetic. He needs to learn English. He may be able to convince a couple people who don’t know very much about computers but to any semi-knowledgeable user, his ignorance is so obvious. It just makes me mad watching his videos. Bring back Logan.

There is no such thing as a virus-free operating system.

If it runs on a computer, it can be hacked.

Ok lets talk about build construction. Lets take my case, I need it for office work, so no needs of nvidia, I use ubuntu linux, so no virus problems.

This laptop in my view is unbeatable, for traveling, many accidental shocks…

And then, if you are a professional in the IT business, if you go to a meeting with a macbook….you are a clown.

  25. TSSdrifting Says:

    That is a good …
That is a good ultraportable, but for £1,900 it really doesn’t feel special enough for what it is. The Voodo Envy and Macbook Air however, do, but the Envy perhaps more than the Air as the Air is more of a bandwagon showoff whereas the Envy is just plain sexy, as well as having the VIOS and all the clever features which people will actually use unlike apple’s normal gimmicks.
