A 3D camera would just be 2 cameras, like it is here. If someone was to actually manufacture 2 cameras put together, i would imagine that they would be prone to problems. also, its important to be able to adjust the width between the cameras, which would cause it to end up with a similar set up as the one here.

It requires two lenses. Not only that but the data would have to be recoded to easily be maneuverable.
